I named the company after my great grandmother who encompassed the qualities and values I wanted to see emphasized in our business daily: honesty, family, passion and fun.

Baking always reminds me of her standing at the stove stirring a pot of greens, flipping some fried chicken over in the skillet, and checking on whatever is baking in the oven. She gave me my love of baking and cooking and thus, I gave my business her name. Eliza Jane’s, named after our family matriarch, is a family owned business specializing in over the top desserts filled with elaborate and strong flavor profiles.

After obtaining my masters degree and working full time as an art appraiser, I was laid off and needed to find an additional source of income for my expanding family. At seven months pregnant, I turned this love of baking and cooking that I obtained from my great grandmother into a business by selling monthly themed brownie boxes to friends and family which quickly expanded due to word of mouth. Since then, we have evolved into a physical dessert truck serving the community in private and public events and have continued with specialty orders online in addition to some catering opportunities.

The minute you walk through our doors, you immediately become part of the family. Just like the many grandmothers, aunts, and mothers throughout the generations and those in your own family, we want to make sure you are taken care of in the motherly way, with a full belly.
